Bayou Classic's aluminum stockpots are your better brand of aluminum stockpots compared to other local brands of aluminum stockpots. The difference between these aluminum stockpots and other known brands of aluminum stockpots are the thickness. With your other brands, you'll find that their aluminum stockpots may be thick around the sides of the stockpot, however, test the bottom. The bottom of the aluminum stockpot is paper thin. After a few uses with a high powered burner, the bottom of your pot will begin to disintegrate or burn through. With a Bayou Classic aluminum stockpot, the thickness in the pot is the same all the way through. . . even the bottom.
