Our Bayou Classic 24 quart fryer / steamer stockpots are made of commercial grade aluminum (99% Aluminum). Bayou Classic's aluminum stockpots are your better brand of aluminum stockpots compared to other local brands of aluminum stockpots. The difference between these aluminum stockpots and other known brands of aluminum stockpots are their thickness. With your other brands, you'll find that their aluminum stockpots may be thick around the sides of the stockpot, however, test the bottom. The bottom of the aluminum stockpot is paper thin. After a few uses with a high powered burner, the bottom of your pot will begin to disintegrate or burn through. With a Bayou Classic aluminum stockpot, the thickness in the pot is the same all the way through. . . even the bottom.
This 24 quart fryer / steamer stockpot kit includes a boil basket and vented lid. Use Bayou Classic’s stockpots to boil large amounts of seafood, soups and other great southern dishes. The 24 Quart stockpot is small enough to use on your stovetop. The Steam / Boil / Fry Stockpots have indentions that raise the basket approximately 2.5" above the bottom for steaming and boiling.
Use the basket in your stockpot for deep frying chicken, fish or hushpuppies; steaming or boiling seafood, clams and vegetables. Uses without the stockpot basket include boiling soups, stews, gumbo, jambalaya and low country boil. Our stockpots are perfect for the beginner to intermediate Cajun cooks who love to boil Louisiana’s favorite dish . . . crawfish! These stockpots are also perfect for use when hosting a clam bake.
